Principles of non-associative learning

Using the principles of non-associative learning taught in this subject, what is/are the concept(s) used in these spin classes and why?

Spin classes are a new form of exercise for busy individuals. Spin classes are conducted indoors, involve a stationary exercise bicycle, are very fast paced, and involve a large group of participants.

To get participants to ‘sweat it out’, spin classes are typically held in a dark room, blasted with fast and loud music, and are led by a very vocal and loud instructor.

However, first timers could sometimes feel unnerved by this experience.

Also, how does the opponent process model proposed by Solomon and Corbitt fit into all this?

In your answer, be sure to compare and discuss the model for a first-time spin class participant, compared to one with extensive experience
